A former biologist, Andrea Martin’s meticulously hand cut paper art is evidence of hours of research and observation. To inspire her work, Martin takes daily walks in her neighborhood to observe patterns in nature. She also researches native plants and animals to make papercuts that are site-specific, such as her commissioned piece for the Roseville Library. Martin's piece for the Roseville Library was funded as part of a gift by the Falcon Heights-Lauderdale Lions Club to the Friends of the Suburban Ramsey County Libraries.
